Top 5 Christian Authors of 2016

To pick the authors for 2016,  I focused on how did they impact our reading in this past year? Did they give the readers something that moves them, intrigues them and did it make our bookshelves a better place? I know many authors have been huge this year and I loved reading many of their works, but I also wanted to highlight those that are a bit newer, more indie, or just had such a grand year that I couldn’t pass them up.

To all the Christian authors, that released this year, thank you for making our bookshelves brighter. To my chosen authors thank you for giving this reader a story or more that made my year bright!

Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.

Terri Wangard

Terri recently had a fantastic release of  Soar like Eagles. She has moved publishing houses and I see wonderful works in her future. I chose Terri for one of my top authors of the year for her newest book, and also the re-release in new covers for the other books in the series, she has given 2016 a beautiful story of strength, history and love.

Jennifer Beckstrand

Jennifer has been rocking the Amish literature world with the release of not only the Honeybee Sister Trilogy but a cookbook (so yummy) and being part of a beautiful Christmas collection. Her work is charming, witty, and always bringing a smile to my face. I look forward to her novella in the Amish Brides collection in 2017. If it is like her other works, I will be smiling through the entire story.

Angela Ruth Strong

Angela has been a soft light in the dark world with her work. I fell in love with her writing in Finding Love in Sun Valley, Idaho and have been enjoying the Finding Love in Big Sky, Montana. She has a gift with words, and taking the reader on travels. I am beyond excited for her new Love Inspired Suspense Romance coming 2017.

Keely Brooke Keith

Keely gave us a beautiful story in Aboard Providence, a story that will sweep any reader off unto the oceans and tales of the past. She gives the gift of imagery that each reader truly feels that they are exploring with the characters, and reaching new heights in their personal faith.

Margaret Kazmierczak

Margaret is from the other side of the pond (UK) and her writing is spanning the world. She brought a charming story to 2016, and collaborated with a US publisher to make her debut here. She has a flourish of words, and a charming way of presenting the faith in a very real way.
