Top 12 Cozy Books of 2016

I love reading cozies, the warmth, the characters and the mystery! I can’t usually put the book down (and have to in order to work) once I have started. This year was hard on cozy readers and authors with many getting cut or contracts not renewed. Many didn’t have the opportunity to take beloved series to new publishers either, and I know many of us are still mourning those books. I am looking at the future 2017, and see the possibilities coming our way to read! This list could have easily been 200 plus books, but I didn’t want to create a directory for the year, I wanted to highlight mainstream and indie cozy authors that have written a book this year that made me forget the troubles in the publishing world, I hope you can say the same about some of the choices!

Why this cozies? Well, here is few of my reasons for what stuck out:

  • Suspense
  • Love
  • Furry Friends
  • Character Relationships
  • Vivid Descriptions
  • Mystery!

Trust me these book hold more than just these pieces, but I know that I will continue to turn to these authors and their words for these reasons. I hope that you will take a chance and read about these books, support these authors and have a cheery New Year!

A Good Book is an Event in My Life.
