Minutes into FBI profiler Bryn Eastman’s first case since a near-fatal shooting, a brazen serial killer sets his sights on her next. Now her life—and career—is in the hands of her new partner, Detective Eric Hale, the man she once loved and lost. Seeing Bryn brings back memories Eric can’t control. Memories of a once-in-a-lifetime love. But the tough detective knows their only path to a second chance goes straight through a relentless killer…one who won’t quit until he counts Bryn as his fifth victim.

Book Review by Bree Herron
Protective Duty was that book, the one you can’t put down. I was truly blurry eyed after finishing this fantastic book. This is the second book Jessica has written for the Love Inspired Suspense and if you haven’t read Fatal Reunion go out and get it! Eric is back from Fatal Reunion and this time his past is coming home. Bryn (new favorite name), is coming back to work a case that Eric was/is in charge of. Their past is just as thrilling as their present.
Eric is that character, women swoon over. I felt drawn to his personality and emotions instantly. Bryn is a tough cookie, I love a gal that feels she can take care of her own. And faith, well they both have that to work on but two is better than one. Bryn’s faith journey is one that so many can relate to.The One Thing I Want Most.. #ChristianRomance #ProtectiveDuty #LoveInspired @JessicaPatch Click To Tweet How is it that we are constantly so sure we are enough with out the Lord, and yet he is our constant reminder we need him? No matter your personal journey with God, this book is enlightening on Independence and faith. You can have both and you can face your past, sometimes your past is just what you need.
I loved this book and say it’s a MUST read for your summer 2016. Find your new thriller here!
I received an advanced copy in return for a fair and honest review.
