Book Summary

Her Temporary Cowboy

Attorney Jackson Harris regularly goes toe-to-toe with the world’s toughest lawyers—but none of them compare to Lucy Maxwell. The feisty director of Oklahoma’s Big Heart Ranch for orphans is as stubborn as she is pretty. But Jack must stay focused; he’s only there to evaluate the ranch’s funding. Falling for Lucy and the sweet children she protects is out of the question. Though Lucy is determined to keep the ranch, she’s not about to give control to a city slicker—even a devastatingly good-looking one. But as they bump heads, Jack and Lucy gradually nudge open their hearts. Could a temporary cowboy become a permanent part of Lucy’s life?

Book Review by Bree Herron

Come join us for a sweet contemporary romance that will fill your heart with the gooey feelings that only a sweet love can truly do. I was blown away by the ranch and the mission hosted. I think horses can be therapy for a variety of souls, and this was a great example of what people who care to help make the world brighter can do with a horse and children.

Jackson wasn’t sure what he was getting into but his aunt sure did. I loved that she was a push behind him learning more about Big Heart Ranch and I think she knew that him and Lucy could spark a romance. Lucy has her mind set on keeping the ranch open to the children that needed it the most, I love her heart that is as big as Oklahoma. She works hard and proves that this ranch is a mission from God. It was a reminder to that we don’t necessarily have to leave our community to make a difference with our faith.

Overall, I could fall for this series. The author gave the characters qualities that call to a reader to be commended. The realism of each person brought to them life, learning to trust and love were key aspects to the novel and some that we all can continue to learn.
