Tea Time Tuesday
Wedding Cake Crumble
Every Tuesday come join me as I discuss a recent cozy mystery in review and have Goûter (tea time). Readers can enjoy a thoughtful review while sipping on their favorite teas, they may find new teas to love as well. I will be recommending a good tea for each book. Come cozy up with Tea Time Tuesday.
This is a celebration book even with some murders. It is one of the sweetest cozy mysteries I have read. I hope you join in reading this novel and this series. With all the cupcakes and goodies in this book, I would highly suggest a light green tea or maybe an Earl Grey. It would go perfectly with the sweetness of this book.

Book Summary
With Angie and Tate’s wedding just around the corner, it’s a happy time for Melanie Cooper and the bakery crew. Not only are they finessing the last minute details of the big day, but their bakery, Fairy Tale Cupcakes, has just been hired to bake cupcakes for the blockbuster book signing of a controversial author who wrote a steamy bestseller filled with juicy local gossip.
But one by one, the people Angie has hired to work at the wedding begin turning up dead. As the body count rises, the bestselling author is the next to bite the dust. Mel quickly realizes she needs to figure out how the murders are connected and why–before the killer brings the entire cupcake crew crumbling down. After all, Angie and Tate deserve their sweet happily ever after.

I love weddings and happy ever afters! Even with some dead bodies, and panic Angie finds her happiness with Tate. And Melanie gets to see what the wedding planner can feel like, and hopefully hers doesn’t include a crazy author, many deaths and the finding of a new photographer.

Enjoyable Moments
Okay, I loved when the author in this book did her “presentation” what a dramatic mess. I truly think that I giggled at it all. Just imagining the young thing that comes into interrupt and then the ex, well lets just say he picked a winner. But I love that all of the murders lead a reader to wonderful why and about who. It was well thought and played out.
Synoptic
This was more than a mystery this time, it was a testament to two characters we have come to love. With a mystery woven between the wedding moments and planning it was the perfect spring read! I highly recommend this to be in your spring cozy mystery pile.

Yellow cake with chocolate icing, also the red velvet is good too.
I love the hummingbird cupcakes. They have lots of goodies like banana, pineapple and pecans and are topped with a delicious icing. I love cupcakes because it’s a form of portion control. Lots of times I take regular cake recipes and adapt them for cupcakes just for that reason.
Everything I’ve read about “Wedding Cake Crumble” makes it a book I’d love the opportunity to read. Love Jenn McKinlay’s books so you know it’s on my TBR list.
Thank you for the chance to win a copy!
Dirt Cupcake-totally yummy!!
My favorite cupcake is chocolate with LOTS of chocolate icing. I think I like the icing as much as the cupcake. Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway. 🙂
A wedding detail: Recently attended a wedding reception where Polish traditions were observed including a glass of wine as each guest entered the venue, a Polish Wedding March & Dance during the reception and various Polish foods for the meal.
We attended many Chinese weddings when we lived in Singapore and one of their customs out of many is that the bride and groom have a tea ceremony with each set of parents before the the wedding ceremony.
My brother’s wedding was a memorable event, but not in a good way. My SIL accidentally ate a sweet containing cashews. It was inadvertently given to her by the priest. Within minutes, she became very ill and suffered anaphylactic shock. Somehow, an epi-pen was not conveniently available and 911 was called. She was immediately taken to the ER, accompanied by my brother(who was furious with the wedding planner) and parents.
When hubby and I returned home from the wedding, he couldn’t find his cellphone. We went to the limo company and searched in vain. When we arrived back home, our internet wasn’t working. Since our phone line was VoIP, it didn’t work. We found out that cable guys had accidentally cut our internet connection.
It was touch-and-go, but, luckily my SIL recovered and was fine by the reception that same evening. We, the hosts, were all late to arrive. The incident was the talk of the event.
And, hubby had dropped his phone at the hotel and somebody turned it in. So, all’s well that ends well.
Sorry for the long comment.
Congrats you were the lucky chosen winner! Look for an email coming your way!
We attended a wedding and instead of a cake they served cupcakes!
I admit to loving most cake, but I am picky about icing. I prefer icing to frosting, the thicker and sweeter the better.
I love making cupcakes for family birthdays. My moms favorite is blackberry and my hubby likes my peanut butter and jelly ones. Thank you for the chance. Blessings
I don’t think I’ve ever “met” a cupcake that didn’t make me smile – except those fudge-frosted chocolate ones that the cat stuck her paw in!
We actually have a cupcake shop in our small town that makes the most delicious flavors…and these are huge cupcakes too! The carrot cake, wedding cake and reese’s cake ones are my favorite
This is one of my favorite series. I think cupcakes are a great choice for weddings.
Wedding detail: My favorite wedding cake topper, instead of the bride and groom figures, is fresh flowers. You can also add them around each tier and around the base.
Oh, if I win, my email is [email protected]. I’d love to read this book!
I really like cannoli cupcakes. Yellow cupcakes with a cannoli filling and chocolate ganache icing
Cupcakes are the perfect snack. Satisfying but not overwhelming. Very good things.

Love the series and can’t wait to read this one!
My family is about tradition in weddings. My youngest and her husband were firefighters and the wedding was outside. Her, her stepdad, her maid of honor (her sister) and the flower girl and ring bearer came rolling in with sirens blaring and instead of a carpet they rolled out fire hoses for them to walk between. Her wedding march was “Fire” by the Ohio Players. It was a blast!
I love German Chocolate cake and or cupcakes the best. My next favorite would be lemonade.
My favorite cupcake is chocolate with peanut butter icing.
I once made lemon meringue cupcakes to take to work. After that, the guys in the warehouse wanted to know daily when I was making cupcakes again.
This is a wonderful series! I made cupcakes in ice cream cones as holders for my daughter’s bday several years ago. A big retro hit!
WOW! I love the cakes, cupcakes and stories you all shared. Thank you so much for stopping by!
