Book Summary

A stylish, illustrated gift book profiling notable cat-loving men throughout history.

Some of history’s greatest men have been cat lovers, and their cats have contributed to their genius and legacy: the static charge from a cat’s fur sparked young Nikola Tesla’s interest in electricity; Sir Isaac Newton is said to have invited the first cat flap; visitors to Ernest Hemingway and Winston Churchill’s homes still encounter the descendants of their beloved cats; William S. Book Review by Bree Herron

I will gladly state that I am a cat lady. I am an animal lover, but cats they go with my books (just kidding). So when I came across this gem of entertainment I knew I needed to read it. And thus let me present OF Cats and Men. Where does one begin when discussing historical figures, and cats? Why at the the beginning of course! This book takes you through time and men that had a passion for felines. The pictures are quirky and fun, giving the reader a smile while reading. The details are short as the book is designed to entertain and not drive you mad. We were drawn to Ernst Hemingway as well my lovely feline is named after him. Yes, Ernest got to read about Ernest. It was lovely, and he enjoyed learning about the famous Ernest just as much as I did. So for a cat fan this book is a must to have!
