Sam Kalda is an illustrator and cat fancier based in Brooklyn, New York. He was born and raised in South Dakota—which sounds much more exotic than it actually is. His first book, "Of Cats and Men: History's Great Cat-loving Artists, Writers, Thinkers and Statesmen" will be released in April 2016.
