First Line Friday

Fitness Junkie

It’s FRIDAY which means I get to share a great line once a week with your from a book I am reading. I found this to be an exciting and entertaining way to find new authors, books and bloggers. So I am opening up the book I have been reading this week, and going to the first chapter and finding the first line…

This Weeks First Line Friday Brought to You By

Fitness Junkie: A Novel

by Lucy Sykes, Jo Piazza

This week's line is:

“I can’t believed you ordered that.”

I reviewed this book on a whim last week, and found myself not only enjoying it but also googling like a mad woman. It is fictional but many of the workouts and such are based on reality. Which in some cases are scary yet, this book was a great reminder that we all need to love ourselves and get rid of the toxic people in our lives, not just in our body. I will warn that it has some language so if profanity does bother you, it might not set well. Other than that it is a fun and light read for the summer!

Now it's Your Turn

Open the book nearest you and post the first line of the first chapter in the comments below, I would love to see into the book you are reading.

Interesting read – isn’t it funny when something sparks your interest in a book and suddenly you’ve lost an hour or two Googling because of it? Happy Friday!

Sounds interesting, but thanks for the warning! 🙂

Now that I have a bookshelf within reach of my desk, I’m grabbing one I hope to read this year.
“Romulus White stood motionless in the crowded ballroom, staring at a woman he’d once longed for more than his next breath of air.”

As an un-fitness junkie, this isn’t a book I’d have picked up. But it sounds interesting.

I’m currently reading My Unexpected Hope by Tammy L Gray, which has a great first line:

Moonlight leaked through the dirt-splotched windows of Joe’s Bar, it’s silvery rays glinting off the tumbler in front of Laila Richardson’s saddest customer.

But that’s not the book I’m sharing this week 🙂

I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous seeing the title. But I love fictional books that can provide some good info! Just might be worth checking out.
