Book Review by Bree Herron
Oh finally a mystery about a an author writing a mystery. Maybe, there is others out there but I am thrilled to have read this one. So settle in and come back to California with Jill and her delightful crew.
Jill is one heck of a character. Seriously, she grows in quality with each new mystery. And I love the suspect in this mystery even more than the last! That poor man, all he wanted to do was write mysteries, not live them. Jill of course knows she can handle the case, though unofficially. This had me slightly laughing just imagine this author in my mind, then the murder. Well, I could only imagine the feelings he had.
One thing I have to express is the joy this author brings to me with her writing. I feel like not only her characters and plots grow, but she does as well. This author has always been amazing, but something about this book made her stand out. If you are looking for a fun summer mystery and series this is the book for you. I promise even if it’s the first one you pick up out of the series, it won’t be the last.
