Book Summary

<h2><span class="wrap"><span class="inner">About The Author</span></span></h2>

I live in Chatham, New Jersey and spend as much time in New York City as I can. I love that city! My husband and I have a date every Friday and have lunch in the city and go to a movie. especially foreign films. I love Cape Cod and hope to live there some day and look at the ocean while I write away on my laptop. I love Paris and go there whenever I can. I studied there for a year when I was very young and I even like the French. I have a one-woman act based on "How Not to Become a Little Old Lady," which I perform for women's groups and I do my impression of bacon frying, share my chocolate and wine diet, show illustrations from this book and my other humor books, and do a little tap dance at the end. I have a daughter who lives on Mercer Island, Washington and three grandsons who are perfect. My life is very full and I love talking to other writers.

Book Review by Bree Herron

It’s the season of wonder and delight. And though I love being here at home in the West, I will never forget seeing New York City around the holidays. The lights, the people and the magic. It is truly the most wonderful time of the year, there and the Happy Hoofers are even doing it big this year!

I have never read any of Mary’s books prior to this one, and I was drawn to the Christmas theme (it is the book of the day) in I dove, turning pages and meeting new friends in the characters. I loved their feelings and expressions that I could envision while reading this book. I would have to say that I enjoy Mary-Lousie the most out of the gals and maybe it is because her story was a continuation and more emotional. I was fond of the character. All the Happy Hoofers are fantastically done, including great wit and puns.

I know that for me the holidays never seem brighter until I have read some great holiday themed books. I highly recommend this mystery for a person needing some cheer! You will be pleasantly surprised with the story.
