Book Summary

When an arrest goes wrong and the perp ends up dead, SKUL special agent Mick Jasper is under investigation and stripped of his badge. SKUL hires Maggie Park not only because of her ability to blend in with society when undercover but her uncanny ability to know things she shouldn’t. Little does the agency know that Maggie is a witch and has special powers she uses to her advantage to clear special agent Jasper’s name and hopefully bring the real killer to justice before the killer figures out who she really is.

Tonya has written over 20 novels and 4 novellas, all of which have graced numerous bestseller lists including USA Today. Best known for stories charged with emotion and humor, and filled with flawed characters, her novels have garnered reader praise and glowing critical reviews. She lives with her husband and a teenage boy (her other three boys have spread their wings in college) and two very spoiled schnauzers in Kentucky.

Book Review by Bree Herron

Welcome back Tonya Kappes’ readers! It has been a whirlwind of a month for Tonya as many of you know and this tour is celebrating her newest book, Get Witch or Die Trying, the third novel in the Spies and Spells series. I would say Tonya Kappes has another bestseller on her hands with this one.

I loved the theme of this mystery, the ex-girlfriends of Mick being murdered. I am sure that many of women were lovely, but they get to extract revenge with death, the murders alone are a great but there are smaller mysteries inside the mystery that readers will enjoy. I love Maggie, she is the modern day witch that SKUL and the world doesn’t know about, yet she is constantly thrown in with us mere mortals.  I am reminded of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, where Maggie is with the mortals and doesn’t/can’t mention here powers.Ah, to be as cool as Maggie, and in this book there is the awesome effect of the flying car. Who doesn’t want a flying car?!

If you are looking for a fun, quick and enjoyable read. This book (this series) is for you! You will find all the elements that a reader enjoys right here in Get Witch or Die Trying. Till next time readers, I am off to go fly my car ( mentally, of course, or is it?).

The idea of ex’s dropping dead, is a great theme, what other themes have you enjoyed by Tonya?
