Assignment: Single Mom Surveillance

The Military K-9 Unit series continues

Her serial killer brother’s escaped—and it’s single mom Zoe Sullivan who’s under suspicion! Sgt. Linc Colson trusts two things: his instincts and his Rottweiler K-9 partner, Star—and certainly not the pretty face he’s assigned to monitor. He’s done everything to keep her from getting under his skin—now he must stop those who want to put her six feet under.

Characters

What a mom , Zoe is. Though this novel is so much more than Zoe being a parent, she really stood out to me. As a parent I could relate to her wanting to be the “Mama Bear” and I think she is probably this way even when she is not trying to stay alive.

Linc has it all, the smarts, charm, and ability to keep a gal safe. Plus who doesn’t love a good guy with a great dog? I think that the author built one amazing guy in Linc.

Enjoyable Moments

Anytime Linc interacted with Zoe’s son my heart melted. You could just envision his heart warming up to the parenting idea. I also loved that him and Star were willing to risk their lives many times to protect, not find guilty, Zoe.

Synoptic

I finished this book in one sitting. It breezed right by, I really loved the action built into this book. This book kept me interested and invested in the plot along with the characters. I would recommend this book to fans of Terri Reed and Dana Mentink or new readers looking for action and faith rolled into a beautiful story of a mom working to keep her and her son alive.
