Book Summary

“…It is the price you pay for choosing to be a cop. Your brother’s life…”

Those words haunt her dreams, and her waking moments. LAPD officer, Aurora Kavvan cannot rest until she finds her brothers killer. Digging into the past always brings back unpleasant things: memories, guilt…the hit man. Now she is in a race against time to find the murderer before he finds her.

“Kill her. I don’t care how, and I don’t care where, but I want her dead now!”

Someone was trying to kill his dead partner’s sister. FBI agent, Jordan Reiley will stop at nothing to protect the woman he loves. Even if it means going against her wishes; putting himself between her and the man who murdered her brother.

Will God keep them alive long enough for them to find the truth?

Book Review by Bree Herron

A fast paced and fun suspense novel to read. I really like Aurora and Jordan. They are both trying to find the killer of Aurora’s brother but this is not with out risks. The killer is out there, hunting and ready to attack. Aurora is certain she can do this with just her training but Jordan adds this level of kick booty that makes the story move fast. There were great scenes that were just built to come to life in the reader’s mind, the chemistry between these two was believable and the story line was one that kept me wanting more.

I love suspense stories and this one was nicely done, vivid in my mind and one I just couldn’t wait to finish (so I could have the answers). I think for a series it will be a nice start and one that makes readers ready for more.
