Vannetta Chapman writes inspirational fiction full of grace. Characters
Henry is an Amish bishop and sleuth. I know an image that is unique to conjure up but let me say that it really works for this character. Ms. Chapman gives him faith and the ability to know how to solve a mystery. God’s hand is with Henry many times in this book and I like to think that God knows how much to give the character, and author.
Enjoyable Moments
I have to say the suspense leading to the capture of the murderer is always my favorite with this author. The suspense is built so well that you are holding your breath and then gasping in the end! It could be that Henry has a way of helping to build the suspense and his demeanor makes a reader feel calm till we hit the capture, I never expect to feel so invested in this mystery, but the end made me sad to feel it finished. Well, it’s only finished till the next mystery.
Synoptic
Another mystery solved by my favorite Bishop. This is a series that any reader can enjoy, and you can hop in at any time. I highly recommend reading this book as Henry is a character that you will root for and feel connected to. He is kind, quiet but a bold character by following his path. I can’t wait to see what is in store for him next.
