Book Summary

Mallory Shepard’s wedding planning business is off to a shaky start when a member of the bridal family drops dead at a food tasting . . .

Mallory hopes to unveil her new B&B just in time for her first ceremony as a wedding planner. The renovations to Thistle Park—the mansion she inherited in small-town Port Quincy, Pennsylvania—are almost complete. But what Mallory didn’t plan on is the bride’s aunt being poisoned at the wedding tasting and her perfect venue becoming a crime scene.

Adding to the mystery is the discovery that this is not the first murder in the bridal family, and as Mallory becomes engaged in her own investigation she learns the man convicted of the crime may not be guilty. Now she has two crimes to solve before the bride walks down the aisle—but a killer has other plans to ensure that Mallory forever holds her peace . . .

Book Review by Bree Herron

From this moment, murder shall take place but weddings will go on. I am all set to be a guest as a reader in this charming series, and even more with this book. I so badly, wanted to be at the mansion for the mysteries, murder(s) and the love found in  Murder Wears White.

Mallory is a kick butt and take names kind of gal in this book. She is on a mission to make a bride’s wedding dreams come true and she won’t let anything get in her way. She is also cheeky enough to plan to solve the mystery, just to achieve this. I love her!! I picture her as the perfect wedding planner, one that knows how to get the cake standing, the dress white and clean the blood all at the same time.

Stephanie gave me a great twist in this book, I thought for sure I knew (95%) who had done it all, and then wow. I was impressed with this skill, and then after mulling the book over I felt like it made total sense who the killer was. I really enjoyed how it felt as though background and history was provided throughout the book, not just in the first few pages but more of hindsight, or a memory here and there. This has been a real enjoyable book to have read.

This is a book that you will want to read and then you will be asking for more. I like to think of it as like cake, I love cake, I want cake and cake is good. I love this book, I want more of this character and this series is good.
