Book Summary

Yoga instructor Kate Davidson’s life takes a chaotic turn once she agrees to not only be the doula for her pregnant best friend, but also play foster mother to two puppies. The chaos gets worse when Kate finds the dead body of a philandering fertility doctor and sees Rachel, one of her yoga students, fleeing the scene.

Kate is convinced her student is innocent, and she sets out to find the real killer before her testimony condemns Rachel to a life behind bars. But her hands are full with caring for three dogs, teaching yoga classes, and gaining an unexpected crime-solving partner. If she’s not careful, Kate’s next yoga pose may be a fatal one.

Book Review by Bree Herron

To be back in yoga peace with reading is a time I relish. Tracy has done it again, I truly come away from her mysteries feeling as though I have done a complete yoga session for relaxation. The food is always making me hungry as well, and there is a couple of  new pups in town.

namaste, books, yoga and murder! #cozymystery Share on X

When you look at reading cozies that follow similar lifestyle paths as your own, yo are always hoping that reality and fiction are mere images of each other. That is always the case with Tracy’s Downward Dog Mystery she practices what she writes. And Kate is a charmer, no not witch, just has the ability to make you feel relaxed in her world.

The mystery this time, is amazing. Trust me the moment you get to the doctor in the book you will find him a worthy victim. I always enjoy when I can enjoy who the victim is. I also enjoy reading the other aspects of Kate’s life. She really is a character that I wish would come to life. Mystery lovers will quickly love this latest book from Tracy and new readers will be able to fall in love with Kate, and will be eager to read the prior books. However, I want to note that I have read these books out of order and though like all series it is nice to know the prior story, it isn’t necessary for this book.
