Sunday Funday: My Current Playlist
It's Sunday, and I am trying something new on the blog for Sundays. Today I am sharing what I am listening to, as a reader and in the car driving. Music is part of all of us, I am sure that if you were to sit quietly, close your eyes and think of a song...
It’s officailly the 3rd glorious day of December, where we are currently bustling about with holiday decorations, scents and sounds. The moment will soon be upon us, the time where families gather and celebrate Christ being born. We have one tradition that will be coming up on December 24th, one that I did as a child and now do with my child. Reading The Night Before Christmas.
Though my Sunday posts won’t be bookish, this one has a spark in there about books. See as a child, my mom and grandma along with little me went to the yellow school house in Montana. It was ran by a husband and wife that carved wooden figures to go with stories, each year we went there and I would be in awe of the beautiful creations. This couple was special as well, the wife had seen much of World War II and I was in amazement at the beauty and magic of their humble little place. I grew up with my wooden carved characters for the book, that is still in my life, only difference is I share the magic with my daughter. It is a beautiful was to share an old tradition and have it become new.
Holiday traditions can vary from cookies, to books. But what is a true tradition for all is the spirit of Christmas. It is magical, life moving and heart opening. To truly feel and experience the season, is one tradition that I gladly partake in each year..
