First Line Friday

The Final Vow

It’s FRIDAY which means I get to share a great line once a week with your from a book I am reading. I found this to be an exciting and entertaining way to find new authors, books and bloggers. So I am opening up the book I have been reading this week, and going to the first chapter and finding the first line…

This Weeks First Line Friday Brought to You By

The Final Vow
A Living History Museum Mystery
by Amanda Flower

This week's line is:

“The vow that binds too strictly snaps itself”
—Lord Alfred Tennyson

” Krissie Pumpernickel dreamed about being being a June bride, and Krissie Pumpernickel got what she wanted.”

I adore this book, and the author always has charming character names. I just had to highlight the Tennyson quote and Krissie. I hope if you are a cozy fan that you find Amanda’s work and dig in!

Now it's Your Turn

Open the book nearest you and post the first line of the first chapter in the comments below, I would love to see into the book you are reading.

My first line is from Anne Love’s “The Gardener’s Daughter” in the Of Rags and Riches romance collection.
Thump, Thump. She could plant herself in a library world such as this one forever.
