First Line Friday

Gone with the Twins

It’s FRIDAY which means I get to share a great line once a week with your from a book I am reading. I found this to be an exciting and entertaining way to find new authors, books and bloggers. So I am opening up the book I have been reading this week, and going to the first chapter and finding the first line…

This Weeks First Line Friday Brought to You By

Gone with the Twins

League of Literary Ladies, book 6

by Kylie Logan

This week's line is:

” “Fiddle-dee-dee!” The real question- at least for me- wasn’t where Chandra Morrisey had found the elegant white lace fan she swept back and forth in front of her face when the exclama-tion oozed out of her, but where on earth her exaggerated Southern drawl had come from. South Bass Island, three miles from the Ohio shore in Lake Erie, is not exactly drip-ping with Spanish moss or known for its grits.”

This series is one of the coolest in the cozy mystery world. A literary club of ladies that end up solving mysteries that have a way of being themed around their book club book. This has to be one of my favorites as I am a huge Gone with the Wind fan. I hope you check it out!

Now it's Your Turn

Open the book nearest you and post the first line of the first chapter in the comments below, I would love to see into the book you are reading.

    My first line is:
The promised view of the mountain peak waited, cloaked in mist like a tissue-wrapped gift not ready to be unveiled.

Haven’t started this one yet, but it is Fantasy Christian.

Seventh Dimension – The Door by Lorilyn Roberts –

    Prologue –

A DIARY ENTRY MANY YEARS LATER

“Long ago, a magical king was born in a kingdom where animals talked and intellect sparred with spirituality.”

This book is about a girl who stumbles into another world after following a dog. I can’t wait to read it.
