When one wants traveling faith, they should look back in time to this charming books idea. A chapel car. From the 1890’s to the 1940’s chapel cars were in transit, bring faith and the word of God to those to far from real cities, or in places that maybe couldn’t afford a minister. Now to Judith Miller’s characters Hope and Luke, these two make this story come to life.
Hope is the kindest female I have come across in a long time, her character stands for the Word and her father. She is charming with the children, giving them the stories of Jesus. If there was every a calling to a character it was found and claimed in Hope. Now she gets into a bit of a pickle, and Luke has only to fall in love to figure out that being with Hope is the best thing for him.
Luke will charm you, from the first moment buying fabric to his sleuthing for answers to some unsavory actions that happen. Luke fits what you look for, a man with faith seeking the love of a great woman. I really loved his nature that just came to life from the book. He is the bright light in the mining town, that is in need of Hope and Luke to stay and bring the light in.
This was a charming historical, fictional, romance with a christian setting. I was drawn in with all the elements and instantly traveling the rails, so until next time reads. All aboard!

This is really a beautiful book to read, a spring park day read.
